Dark circles under your eyes? – don’t use a light concealer. You will highlight the problem area and make the shadows appear greyish. You need something warm toned to correct the problem, for lighter skins use a peachy tone, dark skins go for an orange. The best formula for under the eyes is a light liquid or gel, Bobbi Brown do some lovely ones. Heavy cream concealers tend to settle into the creases under the eye. Highlighting the inner tear duct of the eye with a light shimmery eyeshadow brightens the eyes, drawing the attention away from the dark shadows.
What colour eyeshadow should I use? – what colour do you like? You can wear any colour, the general rule is to go with something contrasting to your eye colour, if you have blue eyes, you can wear blue eyeshadow, but it’s best if you don’t match your eye colour exactly so go for deeper navy or purples to harmonise with your eye colour. If you want to enhance your eye colour then there are colours that will work best for you.
Blue eyes – browns, oranges, golds, coppers, rust shades will bring out the blue.
Green/hazel – purple, plum, burgundy shades will bring out the green.
Brown/grey – you lucky people will find any colour of the rainbow will enhance your eyes!
